Cargo Cover - Black IN STOCK NOW at Sparks Toyota-Scion, Myrtle Beach, SC

So I wanted to find this answer and didn't see it, so I'm resurrecting this old thread. I got a cargo cover from Sparks also, but when you close the rear door there is a huge gap between the door and the cover. You can still see right in. Am I missing something? I would post a pic but the T4R is the wife's and she's at work. Thanks guys

yup, that is how it fits, very stupid design. Was not worth the money...mine came with my TE for around 150 bucks.

Thanks for the info guys. My dealer is trying to fleece me for one before I pick up the car this week. After reading this thread, I'll pass on the cover for now...:smashputer:

I wish my TE came with one. I had to wait 3 months for my TE to come from Japan..the least they could have done was throw one in for free instead I had to wait 2 weeks for my cover to come in.

Total design flaw in my oppinion....I had the dealer throw in one after the deal was made, which wasn't a big issue for them. and I am glad I didn't buy it for $150. I have been playing around with ideas to extend it farther as there is a good 5-6 inches left inside the roller. Haven't really come up with anything yet. It also could have been a few inches higher since it restricts your cargo area close to the seat-backs due to the roller being 3-4 inches in diameter (combined with the reduced cargo capacity of a slider!).

Anyway, thats my 2 cents worth for now...

I completely agree. We had the salesman through it in with the deal because our Land Rover had on and it was super handy for hiding the stuff in the trunk. Once I used it I noticed both gaps and it is super flimsy and awkward compared to the LR one. Terrible design and execution. Also it sits low so we have to remove it in order for us to get our baby stroller in all the way. I can't believe I am saying this but 2003 LR Discovery has our T4R beat in the rear cargo area design. Other than than screw the old LR I love my T4R!
