I have both rear wheel bearings howling badly. A friend of mine has an extra axle stub he will sell me, and he says it will work. I have done some research and no matter where I look, all of the places that sell axles have elaborate parts identification systems and no matter what I type in, the axles are all for 16" wheels. My decal on the door frame says my 4 Runner uses 15" wheels. Are there many variants of axle stubs for the 1997 4 Runners or are they fairly interchangeable for the 1997 era models. Mine is a base vehicle, 4 cyl. Thanks for any info!!
