I'm a little confused. I just got my trail edition on Saturday and barely used the rear window today for the first time. I first realized the problem when I used the key to roll down the window. When closing though it would go up to the top and then reopen half way. I then tried from the inside of the truck and had similar results. When using auto close it would get to the top and then reopen half way again. So to close the window I would have to lift the button a few times to get a fully closed window. Anyone have the same problem or is it just me? Is this issue able to be fixed somehow?

Maybe it wasn't initialized correctly for jam protection at port. Try this after disconnecting battery negative for 10 seconds. T-SB-0279-09 Rear Window Initialization

I'm thinking the issue relates to a limiter adjustment out of whack more than window alignment. Had a similar issue with my wife's RX350 on one window after a battery replacement, also the drivers master control couldn't control that window which was odd. Fix was to reset all of the limits on all windows.
Turned ignition on, lowered drivers window first then lower each window at the door switch, so maybe the rear window use the back hatch control, then raise each window again at each point and hold switch in up pos for 20 seconds. Then returned to the drivers master control and did the same thing over again (and use the console switch for the back window) and hopefully that will reset the limit position which appears to be why it is bouncing back like that?

I grew up in the southeastern Mojave Desert east of Victorville and Apple Valley. Back when TV started coming out to the High Desert in the 1960s, I remember Longo commercials. Also heard them advertised on KFI AM radio, one of the few LA stations that made it out to the desert. Back then, Toyotas were nowhere near as common as now. Basically, you saw a few Coronas, FJ40s and an occasional Hilux pickup.

Thanks for your suggestion to reset the rear window limits using the back hatch control.
I tried that, but the rear window won't go all the way down. It stops halfway down every time. Then when I raise the window it gets to the top and the jam protection bumps it back down 4".
Found the jam protection 'normalisation' instructions on Page 150 of the Owners Manual but these advise to raise the window and hold the control button down an extra 6 seconds, followed by lowering the window all the way down and hold the control button up for an extra 2 seconds. Since the window refuses to go all the way down, I can't do this either!
Anyone else out there got an idea to sort this?
