Rear Window Remote Question

I have a 98 4runner SR5, my remote has 2 buttons. I see a 3 Button Remote on Ebay that states it fits 98-02. Will this work with the 98 and give me the ability to roll the rear window down from the outside. I realize rolling it up isn't an option with the remote. I simply want to be able to roll down the window. If it can be done with my current two button remote, I have not figured it out.

Remotes are defined by the FCC number. One FCC number will not work on a different system. In other words, the type of remote you have is the only one that will ever work.This TSB shows the various remotes in use.
