rear window remote?

I just purchased a 2004 4 Runner SR5 4X4 that I love so far. It has 37,000 miles and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. The only problem that it has is that the button on the key (remote) will not raise and lower the back window. The button in the truck works as well as inserting the key into the key hole in the back gate. PLEASE HELP>

Are you holding the button down for more than 3 seconds? I think that's what works for my 2007.

You have to hold the button for over 3 seconds for it to lower the rear window, at least that's the way mine works. And, you can't raise the rear window using the remote. You have to use the key in the door lock, or the dash control to raise it.

It does work. I gues that I could have read the owner's manual. Thanks for the help.
