Rear Wiper Delete Help

Hey all,

I'm deleting the rear wiper because I have never used it.

Anyways, I have the arm off so that all that is exposed is this:



My question is, does anyone know where to purchase the cap that screws on the stud to cover it up?

Is there a better way, or a better looking way of doing it? I couldn't decide exactly what I needed to do reading through some of the posts in the past covering this topic.

Also, for those of you who have done it or seen it done, am I supposed to remove this? Or just leave it there?

Yes im going to be that guy....

So why even remove it? seems like it looks worse when it gone just having a stump there. Seems like a cheap extra to have If you ever did need it. maybe out mudding and splash dirty water on window or in the snow and its sticking.

I know that guy. I'm usually him. lol

Well, because I can't find a replacement wiper for it anywhere. The rubber is just hanging there and looks pretty rough. I went to a couple auto parts places and they looked at me like I had 2 heads when I showed them the original wiper I was looking for. I haven't yet priced OEM one because I'm sure it's probably outrageous.

So, I figured since I never use it anyways, and I had seen pictures on here of folks who had done it, I figured I'd just get rid of it.

Actually, you can get the entire piece (not just the insert) at the dealer for around 10 bucks, maybe a little less on ebay. I've replaced mine a few times over the years.

You were right.

Plugged the part number into amazon (that I found on ebay) and viola!

$9 shipped!

Thanks so much! That's a much easier solution!
