Rear wiper/rear defroster/dome light not working... fuses?

I got in to leave for work and hit the rear defrost button and I got nothing. Then I turned the knob to turn on the rear wiper and nothing.

Whenever the doors open, the dome light does not come on.

I have only had this 4runner for like 3 weeks, so im a little stressed out about these issues

hope its an easy/cheap fix

The rear wiper and defroster probably just aren't working because they need to learn where the "up" position is for the rear window glass -- it needs to be "re-taught" every time the battery is disconnected. Just roll the rear window down a little bit, then roll it back up all the way, and KEEP HOLDING DOWN the up button for about 2 extra seconds after it's all the way closed. This teaches it where the fully-closed position is, and those features will be enabled again.

As for the dome light, have you tried replacing the bulb? Hopefully it's that simple.

set the dome light switch to "door" & yes, reset the wiper

ah sweet.... the rear window was down just a little bit, so now that its all the way up, the wiper and the defroster are working.

i dont see a "door" setting for the dome light. i just see the moonroof/sunroof, whatever it is, switch between the two lights. ill check again a little later. maybe im just blind

if ur talking about the map lights by the sunroof switch, those dont operate with the doors unless u do the mod for them .

oh... im just used to opening the door and lights coming on.. no lights come on w this vehicle. ill have to go investigate
