REASON for RIMS heating up !!!

Hello
After just a 25km (16mile) when i checked the rims, front rims have No heat when touched but rear driver side is slight hot & rear passenger side is kinda quite hot..what is the reason.?
Recently i did new brake pads on rear changed calipers/pads in front as well.
Shouldn't rims be always cool. I know tires do get warm/hot depending on load. Appreciate inputs. gd day.

Most likely that caliper is sticking. The front calipers are notorious for this, the back not so much.

Sounds like you might need to adjust you parking brake on that side.

Either you need to adjust the parking brakes, or your new pads are sticking in the slots in the caliper frame (which is a frequent issue with older calipers). If you had any difficulty installing the new rear pads in the caliper, it is probably excess rust built up in the slots, causing the pads to not retract properly.

If the parking brakes shoes are too tight and or the pads are sticking or you have seized piston/s and causing the pads to be dragging the rotor you should also be smelling brake lining material over heating, did you notice this type of smell?

I didnt bleed the lines as it was only the rear pads change,

I had the strong smell ..yes, but after doing the front brakes the smell was gone. JUST the heat at the rims.

make sure your parking brakes are not on. you will notice the light on the odometer if it is. or if your pedal is pushed all the way down.

Yeah, it may sound obvious. but when you got people driving your car and were used to driving stick 24/7, putting parking brake on was like second nature to them.

Check your wheel bearings too, they get hot when they start to fail. Jack the wheel up safely, and pull/push on the top & bottom, and then on each side. Shouldn't have any play. Granted, if you do, it could also be a ball joint, but you'd want to know about that too.

I'm confused, you changed the front calipers, but never bleed the brake lines?

Sorry for the confusion..when i did only rear(changed pads) i didnt bleed. Next day when i changed front calipers i did bleed the front brakes (not rear). Hope that was right thing to do.
