I've never heard anything but bad news about the Mile Marker and Superwinch hubs. If you can't find wrecker parts, wabfab has rebuilt Aisin hubs.

I'm jealous of your shop. Welcome to the board!

Don't go to Wabfab for hubs, or for anything for that matter. His rebuilt hubs are way overpriced. Can easily get a used set for 100 bucks or less from elsewhere.

Wabfab=arrogant jerk, doesn't give a @#!% about customer service. Runs a one
man fab shop, auto parts business, has a family, and plenty of time to slag you on multiple 4Runner forums.

Steer clear.

Nice shop!! Not a bad mustang in the first pic either!

There's nothing wrong with Wab-Fab. It's a good place and an honest guy to deal with. I have bought a few things from him and had great customer service. He is a one man shop so he is busy. You have to allow him a day or so leeway to get to all of his customers.

As for hubs, I would buy some used aisin hubs from the forums and rebuild them yourself.

They are trashed the passenger side was installed wrong and was engaged the whole time the snap ring wore thru the back of the hub. And on the drivers side the bolt snapped off inside the axle.

When you buy a used set for $100 you are taking a chance that you will get a set busted like these you bought.

I'm sorry Mike that you feel slighted, but did you not get all your parts?
54mm spindle socket
(2) Wheel Bearing Kits
(2) Aisin hub dial o-rings
Aisin hub dial ball & spring kit
Knuckle Pull Scale

If you needed your parts by a certain deadline you should have asked prior to your order, like it asks at checkout in the policies, or paid for expedited shipping. As it is, I think a 2 week turnaround on those parts with a long holiday weekend in the middle of it all is more than accepable service and shipping.

Here's the ones you sent me like I got them (not bad shape at all just needed some TLC)

This is how they shipped out. Beautiful and in perfect working order.

Get any more you want to get rid of let me know.

:D

You may recognize an address on a recent order. My neighbor just got a 86 runner. I directed him to your site and he ordered the TG 4" rear lift kit from you.

I did part out another runner recently but it had the ADD hubs.

Thanks for sending him my way. He needs to come back now and get the front!

He's not ready for the SAS so I directed him towards rough country for a 4" bracket lift with the diff drop. Maybe you should carry their products? I'm happy with my rough country lift but I will eventually do my SAS. And yes I will definitely order the kit from you. I am more than happy with your service and will give you my business any time.

NOT a bracket lift fan, but that's me, and I typically only sell products I like and use. I much prefer the older 4Runners and trucks to the newer models like the FJ Cruiser.

Let me know when you get ready. Thanks again.

:D

It's not my first choice of lifts. I would much prefer a solid axle. But for IFS it is my preferred method. It more or less keeps the factory geometry of the suspension so you're not over stressing the cv's with extreme angles. Couple that with big tires and it's bad news.

i found a AISIN set in NC for 50 bucks the insides looked awesome. the truck looked like it sat in a garage its whole life. Im probably gonna drive it for a couple of years then do a sas on it. Im trying to get it back on the road so me and my little girl can take it down to the outer banks this spring.

As a matter of fact, the face was damaged during shipping and the seller happened to have a replacement. In order to keep his customer happy, he
sent it two day priority mail the same day he received the complaint.

Don't kid yourself, most of the people on this or any Toyota forum can
take apart and refresh a manual hub in a couple of hours. Hell, I had mine
apart and together with an hour. First time I ever had a manual hub apart,
easy as pie. Don't let him fool you, do a search on rebuilding the hub, easy,
not worth the $200+ he is looking for. To each his own.

And...yes I did eventually receive all the parts, however, seeing as you are
very good at using the search function, you may want to search further. See
the posts I put up about the front hubs and having to go to O'Reilly's to replace the crap hub seals you sent me. Rather than go back to you and hope you would eventually get around to replacing my defective parts, I
went out and bought new ones at the local parts store. Yeah, they are
inexpensive, but it's money I should not have spent.

Maybe If he spent less time on the forums(how many forums are you on, at
least 4 that I know of) and more time on his business, he wouldn't have to
defend his name on the forums. Think about it, the man is on the forums
searching out his name, what is he, a narcissist?

How long before I'm banned over at YT Wabby?

waskillywabbit; It is quite convenient for you to badmouth parts you received said:
If you doubt my voracity, check out the thread link below, I asked members of ultra-noobie friendly T4R (unlike some others...ahem) to help me hash out
issues of my front hub installation. Note the section where I discuss front seals not seating correctly and binding. Also note where I go to O'Reillys and replace the seals. Also note that your name or YT are never mentioned, not
about you, but it is about some of the parts I purchased new from you.

"Crap seals" looked fine, fit like crap. Threw them out immediately, not talking
smack here, see my thread, the seals were junk, my differences with you aside.

And yes, you are correct in saying that I never gave you the opportunity
to make it right. But then again, I guess you forgot about the glowing things you said about me on YT. I seem to recall you publicly stating that you did not want to do business with me ever again. Not likely that I would have gone back to you to replace a defective part. It's like going to McDonald's and discovering someone spit on your Big Mac, then asking them to make you another.

Check out the thread concerning defective front hub seals:

Sorry about the mess above Eli, thread definitely went astray.

Glad you found a cheap set of hubs, maybe I'll see you on the OBX
this spring. Am taking my little girl as well, good luck.
