recall??

I read on here that the rear shocks were recalled on the 99 4runners but i could not find that anywhere on the internet. does anyone know where I could go to find that? I want to see a list of everything that was recalled for the vehicle before I go to the dealorship tomorrow and see if they were replaced. Thanks for the help.

There are different terms used. Some items require a mandatory action, i.e. recall. Other, less severe are covered under Technical Service Bulletins.

I did a search on TSB's and did not see anything for shocks. Where did this come from?

I thought I had read earlier that the 99 4runners had the shocks recalled because of the rear end sagging.

Many 4runners suffer from sagging but that is due to springs, not shocks.
