recently had problems w/ my T4R

OK so i went on a camping trip this past weekend driving my runner all the way to kern county/kern river. half way through the trip after i took a break for lunch i noticed my brakes started to act weird.... everytime i tapped on it the car started to shake and the more i pressed on the harder it shook.... is there something wrong w/ my brake pads? another thing i just noticed when coming back from the trip was that my check engine light recently went on.... so i dont know whats going on.... please help? im plannin to take it to the shop but i wanna know what it might or could be that caused all this!

The shaking when the brakes are applied is probably due to warped rotors and it's possible that caused a CEL if you drove like that for a while. If it's that bad you'll need new pads at a minimum but you could also have damaged the rotors beyond turning.
