I recently purchased a 1994 4runner 3.0. Has the usual ware for its age. Trying to figure out why its idling a little rough. I have replaced the plugs , cap and rotor button. The wires appears to be ok. Yet it still idle rough. Would like to know what else I need to check or replace.

Check for vacuum leaks and do a compression test.

Vacuum leaks, clogged EGR are real common causes.

You might check the motor mounts and vacuum leaks(egr, fuel inj, secondary crankcase system, pcv, etc..). If it has not been done in a while, you might consider replacing the plugs, filters, wires, etc..
