Yes to both, yes to optional Bluetooth mod buttons liker I have in my 03, yes Kenwood can be matched to the ugly orange. Yes I know because I have a dnn 992 in my truck right now and yes one going in a 2012 Maserati quattro port right now at the shop

What's the lowest ddx series that will give me bluetooth, sirius, and customizable led color?

I don't really care about nav., but iphone/ipod intergration would be nice...

I don't plan on running an aftermarket amp or sub, but upgrading speakers will probably be in the near future too.

Thanks!

I recently had a Pioneer X3700 installed in my 2007 4runner. It was on sale at Best Buy and came with free installation. I did have to pay for the steering wheel controls adapter and a USB port installation in my center console. I think it came out to be under $500.00 for everything.

So far it is great. Touch screen, you can change the color of the background to match your dash, bluetooth, and CD player. The sound is great.

That's the one I ended up going with too. It met all of my criteria and wasn't too expensive.

I have the 373. I have an iPhone and it streams music via BT. Must be plugged in via usb to use the receivers pandora app. Automatically switches to reverse camera when placed into reverse.
How do you guys like the kenwood. Had a chance to check both units out at best buy. I generally like kenwood better and think they make better quality decks, but i liked the settings and 13 band eq in the pioneer better. Not sure Which I'll go with.

It is nothing special. It boots up fast and is almost instant for the reverse camera. I really got it because it was the newest version and it had a rotary style physical knob.

k narrowed it down to these two. Can They both stream music from my android and do they both automatically show the rear camera video when the car is in reverse.

Kenwood DDX373BT DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com

Pioneer AVH-X2700BS DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com

I have the Pioneer 2700bs. Got it back in November and had Best Buy install it. I got the steering wheel controls adapter as well as the adapter that uses the factory amp and subwoofer... sounds amazing. Didn't even need to update my speakers.

what do you think? Initial impressions? How does it integrate with iOS?

I need a double din in my t4r soon.

Easy to navigate
Can customize home screen to your most used apps
Sounds 100x better than stock head unit
13band eq and more sound customizing
Bluetooth pairing sounds great

I love it. Glad i Went with the kenwood.

Thanks for your input. Im leaning on the Nakamichi, which model? I have an '07 4Runner SR5 with the original deck which is not doing well. I like the fact that it doesn't need a microphone wired in. I also want to integrate with the steering wheel controls and add a backup camera. Please let me know if you would still recommend it. Another option is probably a Pioneer.

I just installed a Sony avx-ax5500. Had Crutchfield pre-wire the harness. Took +/- 1.5 hours to install due to a stuck screw for the climate control unit.

Android auto works like a dream and the sound is really nice. One piece of advice I saw was to turn your volume all the way up on the stock unit before removal. Something about a smart-amplifier on the JBL system.
