Recommend me a power inverter

I've been looking around for a power inverter. Unfortunately all the ones I have ran into locally are grossly overpriced, or cheap pieces of junk!

I don't need anything too fancy. Just something that is a quality product, and will plug into the cig lighter, or directly to the battery.

EDIT: I forgot to mention what I'll be using it for. It's mostly to charge my laptop for long trips, and for when I need to bring it along to monitor stuff or run diags for other people. Occasionally for the cellphone too.

Also while I'm making this, I need three lights for my front bumper! I need ones that aren't larger than 8ish" in diameter.

To be honest, I can't recommend a specific one, because the one I have (Cobra 800w, hard-wired) is probably more than you need. You can get by with a 300-400W unit that plugs into the cigarette lighter for sure. I would just hit up Amazon, look at the ratings and price and take advantage of their free shipping & no tax. if you only want it for your laptop, you'd be better off with a 12 volt car adapter for you laptop.

Changing 12 volts to 110 volts only to change it back to around 12 volts (whatever your laptop requires) wastes a lot of power.

I like tripp lite, it is all metal, and does not have a noisy fan.
