Recommendation for covering seat latch

My dog keeps hitting her face on this latch. Any interesting/quirky ideas for covering it?

I'd probably use a short section of Foam pipe insulation or a Fun noodle with a slit cut in it and paracord or zipties to hold it in place.

But seriously try to find those table corner guards. Should slip right on.

I like the fun noodle idea. One noodle should last the life of the truck. They are hard to find around here in the winter though.
