Recommendations For After Market Rotors

40 years in western NC and PA driving everything from my daily full size truck to a 53 ft class A hauling a 30 ft cabin cruiser.

I've run slotted, drilled and slotted, and high quality blanks. Never overheated a rotor unless it was a caliper issue.

I pump the brakes and gear down, especially when hauling anything. On newer, lighter vehicles I've found just slipping out of overdrive is enough to keep from having to ride the brakes.

I get your point but they're still overkill IMO and the cons outweigh the pros for me.

There is nothing east of the Continental Divide that compares to the passes we have out west and it's not even close. To go to our home in Big Bear Lake (San Bernardino Mountains) it's 1,300' at the base and 7,100' at the summit in just 13 miles. The back route summits at just shy of 8,500'. Like I said, you don't even come close out in the east, so they are probably overkill for you.

Put my wife on that route and she would routinely warp oem brake rotors. Put the slotted on (drilled will crack) and the warping problem went away.

I think the OE rotors are made by Advics.

In my case I've replaced rotors with Brembo rotors (good brand, good price, nothing special), Advics pads and OEM pads from dealer. No issues.

Correct. You can sometimes get them on Rock Auto.
