Recommendations on Suspension? (No Lift Kits)

I'd like to know if anyone has any recommendations for replacing the stock suspension.

Mine is clunking badly and with 160k miles I'm sure it is due. I do not want to lift my 4Runner and I would really like to have the smoothest ride possible. I use it for driving to work and for towing my racecar. I do not off-road it.

Yup. New OEM control arms if the bushings are shot, new balljoints, new OEM replacement shocks, OEM shock tophats.

The only advantage to going aftermarket anything on non-lift parts would be price. I'm pretty cheap but will say that based on my experiences with this car over that past 2 years you get what you pay for.

Honestly would look at a 6112/5160 combo and set the front's to the lowest perch. I put these on my GX and the fronts are awesome. Wife loves them and feels pretty 'factory'. I have airbags on the rear from the factory so can't compare to factory springs.

I set the fronts to the second perch and with the higher air bags I am probably 1" lifted over stock.

If the price is similar I would definitely put this on your list.
