I went OME medium front and rear. Definitely stiffens up the ride. Much better offroad though. The OME gear is basic parts but seem well engineered for application and good quality for twin tube shocks. Springs are much more substantial than stock. Its a relatively inexpensive mod. Light or Med, go for it!

I still haven't pulled the trigger on any parts yet... I'm still reading on here trying to make the best informed decisions I can. I just got off the phone with a guy from 4wheelparts, and he said bilstein hasn't updated their list yet to show what parts go on 2015s. If I went with the 2014 parts, would it work on my '15?

Other than the TRD Pro the suspension has been the same since 2010. And even the Pro still uses the same base frame and chassis pieces for attachment points.

That's what I figured because I haven't read anyone looking for specific part numbers to fit different years or models. But it gave me pause because the guy at 4wheelparts didn't say that. He said "well we can take the recommended parts for a '14 and put it on your '15 if you want to do that." So it made me want to ask you guys.

Not trying to influence you because different franchise stores have different experiences, and I'm older and tend to get cranky when talked down to by younger folks. I bought my 5100's through 4wheelparts in the spring of 14. After my face time with the guys at the San Antonio store and 2 more visits to give them a second chance I will NOT be buying anything else from 4wheelparts. All of my other new suspension parts have been bought from Toytec. YMMV

I personally would not go there because they don't seem to be very knowledgeable. The '14 and '15 are the same vehicle, if they can't figure that out I wouldn't trust them to pump my gas. Go take a look at vendors who specialize in Toyota, their lists are all updated if you need to find the right part/part #'s.
4wheelparts has always come off as a wrangler specific shop to me. I bet an IFS is foreign to them.

I talked to Mike over at TAP and they didn't have 5100's in stock at the moment and I'm not the most patient person.. Lol. They are awesome guys over at tap. I had a Titan before my T4R and they're over in that community as well.
I got the mb 352 wheels in 17" all matte black. For tires I got the cooper discover atp. 285/70/17. I went with those tires because I won't be doing too much off roading. My T4R is salsa red and I've bedlined all my chrome. I'm hoping it'll turn out looking good!

I had a titan too! 10 years!! Got in on the fox 2.0 group buy on TT. What a great upgrade.
I'm in Canada, and tap had no problem shipping to a mailbox at the border. Love those guys.
The 4r took me up some trails last weekend that the titan couldn't do. Love this new rig
Nice choice with the tires. 285s used to be tiny eh? The ATPs have amazing treadwear.
Post some pics of the bedliner'd stuff! I'm about to go nuts on the trail silver plastic with some bedliner.

Here is the 4Runner as of today! I love it. 5100's all 4 corners. Front at 2.5" and no lift in rear. Turned out perfect in my opinion.
Everything that was chrome is bedlined except for the rear hatch thing. I'll have to tackle that one day.. Next thing I want to do is the headlights! Get some projectors in there and paint them black in the inside.

Since I have been reading way too many threads already maybe I should ask here...
At what point on the 5th Gen should I expect/need upper control arms? I know the magic number on my former Tacomas was between 2-2.5" for alignment correction.
I am just considering the Daystars all the way around since I just need a weee bit more clearance for my Duratracs and I do not wish to cut more material off of the bumper.

Quick question about your 5100s... How is the ride at 2.5? I've heard the shocks are really stiff when they are maxed out.
Also, did you use stock springs or did you get coil overs? Your 4R looks nice man.
The ride is a million times better. I don't feel that it's too stiff by any means. Yes I kept the stock springs. Mine is also a 2wd, so I don't know if that makes a difference in anything.
With the 285's it rubbed a tiny bit. I just moved the fender liner and it's perfect now. Have about 3" of clearance.
It's a cheap and very effective mod. I highly recommend it. Thanks for the compliment! I feel so much cooler driving it around now. Haha

Dirty thirty! Haha. Happy birthday! You will not regret it for a second. I get instant buyer's remorse with big purchases like this and I've been nothing but happy with this.
Just don't expect the normal 20 mpg anymore.. I'm getting about 17-18 max in the city so far.
Most ppl say when you go more than 3" you'll need UCA for proper alignment...
