Rectifier for 96-98 alternator issue

I have a bad diode on my rectifier on my 27060-62180 alternator. I can't seem to locate the correct one shy of spending 180 at the dealer or 130 at napa.

This picture is an example of my problem.

Note there isn't a notch in the lower bridge for the ground tab.

Thanks Durk. I've been there Pryor to settling on my order. But now I'm going back since I know more about what I need.

I'm thinking it's going to be tuff finding a rectifier with a ground tab plus having the lower bridge notched out for the ground post on my alt's rear frame.

The ground tab plus 8 diodes instead of 6 and the fact it said it fit my unit number though the two diodes on the common tap of the stator I don't really know what benefit.

alternatorparts didn't have any pictured like I have.

edit: I see a few rebuild how too's where its simply a plate that bolts to that tab and goes over the center mounting hole like its inportant to have two contact points for the ground plate.

this picture is from Russia. but exactly like what I need.

it sure looks like 27357-67100 equivalent will fit and the unit number for the aftermarket rectifiers matches the replacement toyota part number of 27060-62190.

all though that new number calls for the same replacement rectifier. 27357-62030 INR502 or INR5028

This is the 27357-67100

And this crosses to INR502 or the 8 diode INR5028 in your link. As long as I can return if it won't I feel like pulling the trigger.

AlternatorParts.com called a few of their suppliers and found a INR720P with the cutout for the ground post.

It's an 8 diode rectifier. There is a set of diodes on the neutral tap of the Y (the center where all three legs touch).

Need a washer for under the ground tab, Then done. The OEM tab had a offset to have it touch the ground post.
