Well I think it's about that time for a build thread.

I want to start off by saying thank you to the many members who have giving me so much knowledge and advice when I needed it and for all the inspiration to build my 4R the way its going. Now my father originally bought this 4runner back in 2002 when it came out, he did not know a whole lot about them but he did know they are relaible. I was 11 at the time and didn't really care much for cars of any sort, however it wasn't until the car was passed down to me my junior year of high school that I really noticed the runner. Like most high schoolers I dreamed of owning a sports car or muscle car, being completely oblivious of the jewel in my possesion. It wasn't until I returned from all my required training in the Marines to be put on reserves that I releaized just how much the runner has been there for me(prom, late night sneak outs, roadtrips to LA, Lake Tahoe, and everything in between) I will admit I had a pretty stupid vision on how to modify my 4r when I was in high school..here's a pic in my High school days:

Anyways, regardless of what I did to it I always felt a sense of pride driving it and always felt safe with it, I truly feel like there is a romantic relationship between us(as weird as that sounds) It's a bond we share that many of you must feel as well, I love her and here are my mods and upcoming mods:

Current Mods:

Performance
K&N Cold are intake
Flowmaster 40 series exhast
Iridium Spark Plugs

Interior
2 12" subwoofer Jc Audio
Panoramic Mirror

Exterior
Black Billet grille
Debadged
Outdoor logic bumper with square Hoop
Retrofit Projectors: Black housing w/ Red Shrouds(Mini Ds5 5k)
Led Taillights
20" Ultra Gauntlet black rims with General grabber HTS tires*(In the works of replacing)
Smoked Led Third brake light
Ultimate Lift kit from toyteclifts 3"
Black Corner Lights

Upcoming Mods
Outdoor logic rear bumper*(in the works)
New tires/rims*
Diamondrax low profile roof rack*
Tundra brake upgrade(Eventually)

This is pretty much everything I want to do, I want to be able to drive on the Highway and on trails. This is my DD and I have no intentions of rock climbing so I am happy with my 20's and love the look of them, on that note let me know if you guys have any input or corrections for me, I will be uploading pics periodically as I get each new installment.

I agree remove the running boards and paint grill. Also get rid of any Chrome you may have. Where in the bay area are you from? Back drop kind of looks like my area

Yeah shops will costs a lot. I could probably help out sometime or wait till a mod day to get it done. I'm sure a could other members would help as well.

Let me see if next weekend or the one after I have a free day. I could come up there, but it will limit my time or you could come down here and we could do it. The front should take around an hour and the rear maybe more depending on the shocks. I'll let you know.
