Reduce liftgate travel?

Thanks for the info LargeOrange, I called and ordered the STRONG ARM 6315 because they are just a tad shorter then the 22" extended @ 21.79" due to a slightly lower garage door then yours. The people there really work with you and the prices are cheap. As a bonus the lift force and therefore the close force is 207lbs vs 216lbs stock so my tiny wife will have an easier time closing it

Really appreciate your post as it pointed me in the right direction with enough info to get it done.
