I have the Toyota Service Bulletin on how to register a transponder key to my 2008 4R and have done it successfully a few times. The bulletin states that there is a limit to the number of keys allowed. Does anyone know that number?
And if so, how do you "erase" an old one.
My main key is getting worn (2008 with 160K miles) and having an issue with doors sometimes so I am getting a new master from dealer. Dealer wants an hour of labor for a 5 minute job to program. After that I will just order a few uncut transponder keys from Amazon and have them cut at local HW store from new master and add them to have all new fresh keys.
Thanks,
Bob
