relay, switch, lightbar, confusion, help.

180W operating at 12V = 180/12 = 15amps. More likely the battery is running closer to 14 and you dont have an inline VR for the light bar, so 180/14 = 12.8, though if voltage dips below 12 you may blow a 15a fuse, that is probably what I would do.

one more question, how do you read "10-30V" voltage for the accessory? is that considered "ranging from 10 to 30 volts" or "greater than 10 volts, but less than 11"?

It can operate safely between 10-30v. I've kinda wanna to put these guys on a DB setup in series and run them at 24v and see what happens. I wonder if they will be brighter. I can actually power my 30" 5w bar with a 9v battery.

ok, now i'm even more confused...

so, if it can operate safely at 10 to 30 volts, how is that adjustable? that's dependent on what power source I hook the relay up to, correct? if i hook it up directly to the car battery, how many volts is the car battery and how does that change the amps/fuse of the light?

Don't be confused.

For your application it will be running at 12v from the battery. Yes, it depends on your power source. The car battery is 12v.

last question, i promise! so, recommended fuse would be a 12a or 15a for a single 30 inch light bar running at 180watts? (someone above said the car battery actually runs at 14volts even though its rated at 12volts)
