Remote start woes

I’ve done a bunch of searching any nothing has come up that describes what’s happening with mine.


2017 trd OR. With the factory remote start with the Toyota range booster.

Lately the truck will start up with the remote start but then shut off within 3 seconds of starting.

This is with both regular keys (3 button key) and the enhanced range fob.

Batteries are fairly new in all 3 devices.

Haven’t been in yet to the dealer as I’m trying to hold out until my next service.


Anyone experience these symptoms ?

take it to the dealer.

There is a wire, I think known as the tach wire, which it gets signal from once it it started. that sounds like it may have come loose.

just a thought, based on the limited info you provided.
