Remote starter and aftermarket fob, ugh.

Ok any remote starter wiring gurus out there?

My 2005 4runner came with a Python 1400xp remote starter and Python 474p key fob.
The starter works fine, but the aftermarket fob won't unlock the truck if it's been started. I think this is a Toyota thing? is there a work around? I will try to reprogram the Fob but I don't think thats the issue.

The other thing, Can I use the fob's AUX button to open the back window?? Not sure how to make this happen.



I really dont want to have to carry two fobs...

Yes u can use it to roll down the back window. The unlocking of your door is weird. It should let you. It must be in a different mode. Try going online to see if there's a programming format

Nope certainly not a Toyota thing. I just installed my avital which is the same as pythons and locking or unlocking works when the remote start is on.

Does yours unlock in the meantime without remote start on?

Ok so I reset the fob and its unlocking and locking anytime now, but the truck doesn't beep or blink the lamps to let me know. Think this is a setting I need to figure out.

As for setting the back window to the aux button... anyone know what wires I should e crossing?

Try looking into Viper Smart start. It's an app you can DL and use your phone to start the rig, lock/unlock, and remember where you parked via GPS. Should be about a $300 upgrade plus an annual subscription fee.
