remove airbag sensor

Yesterday i got hit not that bad in the left rear side but the airbag light came up...i went to the dealership and they say they going to run a test to see where is the problem and i got to pay $130....Is there anything i can do to remove it or i just need to go to the dealership??

any help will do....

If your vehicle was involved in a collision and the airbag light is on, take it to a Body Shop. They will determine the exent of the damage and probably save you the cost of the diagnostic. If the impact was hard enough to trip a sensor, you want to have the truck looked at.

Disconnect your NEG (-) battery cable for a couple of minutes (minimum of 90 seconds) and see if the ECU resets the light. If not, then you need to do the diagnostics (it triggered for a reason.)

I try that and it didnt work.The light is still on....that mean i need to take it to the dealership to do the diagnostics test..
