Has anyone done this? I would like to get at the accessory outlet wires in the back of the glovebox.
The repair manual is pretty terse. It mainly shows drawings, some of which I cannot tell where they refer to. The glovebox aka "LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY" is number 25 in the instrument panel removal instructions. There is no clue if any or all of the previous 24 steps are required.
25. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 screws (B) and 2 bolts (C).
(b) Detach the 10 clips and guide.
(c) Disconnect each connector and remove the lower instrument panel.
The three screws are easy. To see the 2 bolts I think you have to perform previous steps, but I don't know which.
In my 3rd gen you only had to remove a few screws. Such is progress.
