Remove nightshade from paint on car?

t4RS,

I blacked out my tail lights Friday with Nightshade product. Some leaked onto the car and bumper. Also, accidentally sprayed some on paint. What should I use to get it off?

What if I ever want to take off nightshade from lights? What should I use?

i was told on paint remover can remove it. but that wouldnt be any good for your car paint. so cant help you on that but if you want to remove from the lights just use paint remover it should come right off.

next time i would remove the lights its really easy. two 9mm or 10mm bolts and they are out.

just did a google search also and read a couple times that gas and a rag will remove it. just make sure to wax the area afterwards.

thanks! if i did you paint thinner would the thinner just lighten the paint on car, discolor, or completely take it off?

Don't hold me accountable if it doesn't work but supposedly the clearcoat will protect against the paint thinner.

You can use paint thinner. The thinner won't hurt the paint. I used it when I pulled off my pinstripe, just wash with soap and water afterward.

Same thing happend to me, just a little over spray though.. whip out the clay bar!

This stuff called Goof Off worked really well for me.

thanks for all the help! looks like im using goof off, claybar, gas, and paint thinner. what y'all think about blacking out headlights and fogs? would it take away too much of the light being put out?
