Remove Prinsu Rack

Has anyone removed their Prinsu rack before? It’s the drill version before they released their non drill version. It’s been on for about 6 years now. Any issues with removing it? What do I do with the holes that were drilled for the front mounting points? And the weatherstripping that had to be cut during original install?

To cover up the holes from where the rack was attached, you can use rubber plugs for cars. They'll close the holes well and keep out water and dirt. Or, if you plan to install something else later, you can leave the holes open for now, but it's better to seal them temporarily to stop rust.
Replace the weatherstripping that got cut when the rack was installed to keep a proper seal and prevent wind noise or water leaks.
After you take off the rack, check the roof for any damage. You can clean and wax it to protect the paint.

use shorter bolts in the front rivnuts you installed and rtv them. Or just goober the hole with rtv. Amazon sells a roof rack delete kit to seal up the OEM mounting points for the other 4 spots. I remove mine every summer. i also no longer use the front spots where prinsu had you drill. i just bolted some rubber legs/bumpers to the front of the rack. it is bulky to do alone. i use some straps and hang it from the carport.

cut weatherstrip is still there. it's meh.

i'm midway through removing mine today. the more accessories/lights/radio antennae you have on it, the more of a hassle it is lol
