Remove Rear Wiper?

I need to remove my rear wiper on my '93 Runner to paint it. The paint is all pealed and looks bad. I've pried and it won't come off. I don't see a nut or such you would remove. On my old Suzuki, I just pried and it came off.

If someone has removed it before and could pass the info along, I would appriciate it.

maybe it's bolted on from the inside.

Inside of what? I see a nut on the outside, but that looks to be holding the whole unit in place, not the whiper itself.

i think i just masked everything off around it and painted it i n place
