Remove something from defrost vent

So I am an idiot and dropped the plastic (so a magnet won't work) nut that holds my dashcam in place down the vent for the windshield defroster. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it out? Am I gonna have to tear the whole dash apart? Thanks for any help

First of all can you see it with a mirror and do you know which opening it went down? I suggest you get something thin and flexible and coat the end with spray glue - then go fishing. I used this method when chasing hardware occasionally on the aircraft I was working on. It works pretty well. Another thing spray glue is good for is for starting a nut on a bolt in a tight place. Just glue the nut to your finger and place said finger on the end of the threads. When the threads engage you can pull your finger off!

It would be easier and cheaper to just get a new nut for your dashcam.

Is it gonna be bad to just leave it down there? I guess the worst case scenario is a rattle?

Thanks for the idea, I am out of town and have to get into it more when we get home. That spray glue sounds like a good plan if I can even see it.
