Removing 25+ yr old graphic/decals/pinstripes

Any one successfully remove original 25 yr old OEM decals without peeling the underlying paint? My runners decals have seen better days and thought about replacing them. The original paint is in good condition vehicle only has 103,000 original miles and was garaged most of its life. I just recently completed a paint correction and want the decals to look as good as the paint.

Im just apprehensive to attempt to remove these and risk the possibility of taking the paint off with them.

Only 103,000 Miles?? man that thing is practically knew! Lol good find.

I used an Eraser wheel on my 90. Throw it in a drill, keep the speed low, and watch the decals disappear. I used 1.5 of them on mine, which took off the stripes all the way from the front fender to the back of the quarter panels. Might've been able to do it in one since I didn't have the technique down when I started.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have an eraser wheel on the way. Here is a pic of the victim. I will post pics of the results as soon as the job is complete.
