Removing center console (not just the easy stuff)

I'm trying to remove the center console of my 07. Search brings up a dozen guides for removing the trivial parts that simply pry up around the shifter. I want to remove what is left after that - the giant piece that goes back to the passenger space which contains the large storage box and rear vents.

Four 10mm bolts to remove were obvious: 2 that attach the front to the dash area and 2 by the shifter. After taking them out I can lift the piece a bit up and down at the front. However, there's something about a foot forward from the back end that is holding the thing in place from full removal.

Half an hour of pushing, prodding and such hasn't given me a clue what to do. Pointers would be helpful.

There are 2 in the center console probably hidden underneath all of your junk in there.

Heh, I had removed everything from the storage box down to the carpet piece. But after your reply, I pulled on that, and sure enough, there are the bolts under the carpet. The console comes out now.

Pull off the radio bezel. Two 10mm screws on the bottom under the little flip out tray.

There are 2 in the center console probably hidden underneath all of your junk in there.
