Removing Fan Bolts

Hey so I did all my drive belts this morning. The really helpful Yotatech writeup told me to remove the fan bolts and the fan, which turned out, I didn't really need to do in order to replace the belts, but anyway, I tried to do that at first, only they are torqued so tight that I can't take them off.

Belt job is done so it doesn't really matter any more, but now I'm wondering what I'm gonna need to do if they ever really need to come off? basically the pulleys turn when I try to turn the nut. I thought about holding it with another wrench on another nut, but as I loosen one nut, I'm basically torquing the other. Which seems dumb.

I'm afraid to stick some kind of vise grip on the pulley. There has to be another way.

Am I missing something?

Stick a long screwdriver or piece of 1/4" square stock between 2 of the bolt heads.

That will hold it firm while you loosen a bolt.
Alternate to get them all loose.
