Removing side mirrors

Has anybody removed the side mirrors and their shells? I am needing some information on how to do this. If anybody has done it or know of a thread with the steps i would appreciate it.

The mirrors are just held on by 3 nuts accessible behind the triangular cover and gently pulling way the corner of the door panel. There's no need to remove the whole panel.

I Haven't opened the shell, just had to replace the broken glass.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly? The most I've managed to do is to get the over to flop a bit after removing it from the skeletal mounting platform for the mirrors. It's not too bad to do, the first thing you need to do is to get something like a plastic prybar and firmly, but gently pry the bottom of the mirror glass towards to until it pops off the retaining clip, then you should see how to get the glass off, from there it's a bunch of screws and such.
 
Well, in a strange twist of fate i ended up getting these in the mail today. They have the LED turn signals and puddle lights. I will just need to have them painted before i put them on.

Interesting, last time I tried to paint chromed plastic, it didn't real do well until I stripped it and at least scuffed up the coating enough to give the paint something to adhere to.

Momo I need to take mine back apart. I'll take pictures if you would like. I attached my wires backwards so it a pain to adjust the mirror.

lol....i actually don't know. It was kind of a Secret Santa gift from somebody that wasn't even participating in the T4R.ORG Secret Santa. Still waiting to hear back from the member on them.

Yeah, the chrome has to be scuffed and then using an adhesion promoter helps.
