Removing "Stuff"

Just got a 95 4runner and the wind deflectors are broken and cracked. Their easy enough to peal off but what's the best way to get the 2 sided tape off?

Try an adhesive solvent but test it in an obscure location first to make sure it won't discolor the car. Those tape on kind sometimes require you to scratch the surface it's supposed to be aheared to. You may end up having to put new ones on to cover that up.

Windex will sometimes dissolve adhesives too.

WD40 and mineral spirits work some too. As was stated often they come with a scotch pad for scuffing up the surface as well as an alcohol pad to remove any wax. If the scuffing was done - rubbing or polishing compound may get scuffing out. Big reason I prefer the WeatherTech shields.

Try a hairdryer and the tool that is used to apply window film.

The hairdryer will soften the glue and the tool is soft enought but still hard enough to scrape off the remaining glue.
