Removing TRD OR Badge

I just grabbed my offroad badges and pulled them right off after the truck sat in the sun for a bit. No residue even. Threw some wax on and called it day.

This happened on my Tacoma. I was told that it was because the badges were applied before the paint had fully cured. Don't know if its true or not but never know. I would say use a "buff and cut" technique and try to clean it up like they do for runs in the clear coat or paint. No idea how it works but I dropped my truck off to a buddy and he said that was what he did. Worked like a charm and couldn't tell it had been fixed. Good luck with the fix!

UPDATE

I think Mr. Rick nailed the issue here. After letting it sit for a month or two all remnants of the badging has disappeared. I think it was just a case of the fact the the stickers were applied to paint that hadn't fully cured. No trace of the TRDOR badge left on my T4R.

I can't create a new thread yet so I'm resurrecting a old one. I wanted to take my XP badge off my ORP and in the past I've just used a skinny grocery store card to get it off. This time around it caused some small surface scratches. Then when I went to clear it with GooGone I left circle a circle mark that won't wipe out. Usually I wouldn't care but I've barely got 1,000 miles on it.

I'm thinking when I have it detailed and freshly waxed it should fix the circle problem. What does everyone use for light scratches on the midnight black color?

Hmm. In Canada the TRD Off Road model actually doesn't get the C-Pillar emblems (nor the specific floor mats). I was thinking of buying some to put on just to stand out a bit from the rest here, ha!

We get all that in BC, all the funky badging and mats. Where do you live, cause that's very odd unless you were looking at a Trail vs Off Road.

'19 TRD ORP - Took the emblems off the C-Pillars in about 10 minutes. Just used dental floss to get them started and peeled them off by hand. Removed the goo by hand and then waxed the pillars. Looks so much better without those stupid things .... this might be the best mod I'll ever do, since it was completely free ;-)

For light scratches I like Griot’s Complete Polish (really fine for finishing) or Griot’s Complete Compound, which I find to be barely more aggressive than the polish. Both leave a nice finish in my opinion. I use their orange pad. By hand for your small area.
