Hello my name is hido (hi-dough) I drive a 99 4runner. I don't know much about them but that's why I joined! Found the site on google asking how many miles do I have with gas light is on lol. Well I hope to learn from you folks!

That is a great looking ride. You came to the right place to find info!! Did you install a lift kit on your truck? That is the only thing I can think of as to why your truck feels higher

FYI, '99s sit an inch higher than all other years of 3rd gens (and a couple inches higher than '01s and '02s). Welcome to T4R!

Most of the time when the gas light is on, you have about 3-5 gallons in the "reserve" portion of the tank.

BTW, Reno got a TON of snow this past weekend. It was a winter wonderland.

Yes snow has been sweet but I need tires so my runner dosnt handle as it was. It's going to the shop soon. All new belts, fluids and tires. It has 186xxx miles on it. Kinda scary but runs great

Miles are nothing but random numbers on a toyota, plenty of people are at 275k miles with far less problems than a GM or Ford at 20k miles.
