So, I hit a bollard a while ago. Broker some body clips and cracked the paint. Nothing serious. Its time to repair the bumper and I have never do this before. Here are my anticipated steps. I would love some input on this.
1. Remove bumper.
2. Clean bumper free of bugs and dirt.
3. Sand with automotive sandpaper. 200 then 400. Just to smooth out the chips and create a bonding surface.
4. Clean with alcohol.
5. One coat primer.
6. Two coats body color.
7. Two coats clear coat.
I plan on making my own spray booth in my garage with 6 mil poly.
