Repainting/Rustproofing undercarriage

So i got bored today and randomly decided to do this. It turned out pretty good but, i only got done with this much for today. P.S. it had 5 years worth of Minnesota/Illinois's winter rust

looks good. I get the air line to spray off dirt/dust and the paint, but whats up with the heat gun?

Thats a power drill with a wire brush, but now that you pointed that out it does look like one, haha

It was $5.49 buy one get one free. Its probably not the best stuff but i guess we will have to wait and see.

I sprayed the bottom of mine with rust converter which actually turned out pretty good considering I didn't make any attempt to wire brush the extra rust off. I plan on hitting it with more rust converter and then the 2000 degree high heat Rustoleum stuff so I can just spray the crap out of everything down there without worrying about it burning off, haha

the only thing i was worries about was the diff getting hot but it doesn't seem to as i can still touch it after a long drive

Do yourself a favor and buy a quart of POR 15 instead. It is permanent protection. I think you will find that what you are doing will not last more than 1 winter. I did mine last year and it still looks great. I do need to go over it again because I can see areas I missed now.

Best stuff ever. Got me 3 extra years out of rusty ford oil pan.

Straight forward too.
Wirebrush off scale
Spray on there converter
Apply Por15
DONE....
