Replace gauge faces

Anybody replaced the speedo etc gauge faces on their 2000 4R? I'm looking for a white face that goes blue at night, thought that would be a nice match for my upgraded stereo unit lights. Dont want it to look tacky though...

I saw PP had some but was curious if anybody has attempted this. Looks a little difficult so I thought I would have a speedo shop install for me, just need to know best places to get the replacement. Thanks!

I replaced my gauges on my 2000 4runner. I have these:

They are white but can go blue or green at night. I always keep mine on blue and put the switch behind my steering wheel out of site. It really isn't that hard at all. I wouldn't pay someone to do it for you.

Doesn't seem that hard from Bob's writeup. I haven't personally done it but I used this write up to change my lights from green to blue. Very simple job. Took me 10 minutes for the dash lights and 2 minutes for the climate control lights. Just something else to consider.

4Runnersurf, I read the writeup but don't quite understand where the changing of JUST the light from green to blue comes in. Did you keep the OEM face and JUST change the lights? What kind of look does that give you? Any photos of it? Did you use an LED light or standard?

I might give that a try first and see if it is the look I'm after...
