Replace the knuckle?

Here's what I'm working on fixing on my T4R. Going to be taking most of the suspension parts off. Getting a rebuild kit for the camburg UCAs. Sending my icon coilovers and shocks in for rebuild. Replacing my front CV axles with OEM or just rebuilding them myself.

Just wondering if I should replace this knuckle from wear. This hole is probably elongated and worn to the point I should.

Is that 1st picture the actual installation or is the bolt loosened?

Replace either way.

That was how I found it... worked itself loose.... I'm replacing the upper ball joint for sure. I'm just asking if I should replace the knuckle.

Wow.....is the uniball seized completely? You are very lucky you didn't snap the bolt. You didn't notice any adverse handling or noises??

Again....replace all hardware with new.

I did notice a handling issue and should have realized it was the UCA sooner but I didn't until a couple weeks ago. It's not my DD anymore so I've given her less attention. She's getting the TLC she needs now.

Uniball was not seized btw.

I am very lucky it did not snap

Im about 90% sure it's completely my fault (or my buddy who was doing the install with me) and didn't torque to nut down correctly to begin with about 30k ago. New knuckle it is.

Pretty sure you need a new spindle, or knuckle, with the way it's sitting at an angle inside the spindle bolt hole.

Ordered individual items from Camburg instead of the $320 UCA rebuild kit... saved me some $$$. So glad I found it on their website.

Yep, missing a part in there.

ETA: Actually, looks like you are missing the bottom washer, too, so make that 2 parts.

I believe it was there but the nut was not torqued down... there are remnants of the spacer at the top of the threads. In this pic the set up was fairly new and I don't see enough threads through the nut to tell me it was on all the way even then.

Nah washer was definitely there... I took it off... it's on a magnetic plate on my toolbox now.

The other side was properly torqued.... plenty of threads through the nut

Wow, yep, it does look like the spacer is in there, it just got chewed off by the spindle. Glad it didn't come apart on you.
