Hey everybody. I've owned my 94 4runner since 04 when it had just 57k miles. For the last couple years, my younger brother has driven it. I recently got it back but in pretty bad shape. I just replaced the automatic trans in it and I have a couple issues id appreciate some opinions on. It is a 4x4.
After the swap, the transmission shifts smooth and the truck runs great. However, I have the blinking O/D light and it starts in 3rd gear. Shifts fine when manually shifting. Now I've already ran the codes, but it's giving me all codes 62-65. The new trans didn't come with the NSS so I swapped in my old one. Could this be the reason the truck is in fail safe mode? Should I replace the switch? Also I noticed it will not go into 4L. Is that a problem with the shift linkage or the transfer case? Related to the trouble codes? I really appreciate any help with this!
