Replaced under warranty, what have you had repaired/replaced?

Want to get a feel for what everyone has had covered under warranty (replace/repair) or NOT covered under warranty and why?! Let me know!

I’ve had:
1) steering rack (replace)
2) steering column (replace: upper and lower)
3) LCAs (replace)
4) all 4 door lock actuators (replace)
5) radiator (replace)

89000 miles so far, lots of salt and off-roading.

Had the leaking seal on my transfer case replaced under warranty at about 30k miles. Now have 45k, no other problems so far.

94k. Never had anything replaced besides fluids, tires, brakes (maintenance) besides having to replace the blower motor for hvac.

It started getting pretty noisy at lower speeds, replaced 2 weeks ago and been completely quiet again since.

Two things under warranty:
Backup Camera - failed
Rear KDSS stabilizer linkage - severe corrosion/pitting on the inside surface that meets the bushing.

75k miles, LCA's replaced (Ball joints failed), HVAC Blower motor replaced 3 times, Driver door window control replaced.

'13 SR5 4x4 - Close to 180K - No issues - just regular maintenance.

A/C Blower started 'clicking' a few months ago - never actually went out or gave me problems - I proactively replaced it on my dime a few months ago. Front Wheel Bearings are grumbling - I'll replace them soon.

Just traded my 2014 trail for a 2019 limited this week, but the 2014 had the following fail in the 84000 miles I had it:

1. Fuel pump (warranty)
2. (6) door lock actuators - started going bad right after warranty was up, still acting up when I traded it. Was a big reason I got rid of it because it was so frustrating.

2013 LE w/ 55,000 miles. Nothing replaced that wasn't regular maint.

I think something is wrong with my gas. It goes low every 300 miles or so.

Idle pulley and tensioner assembly replaced under Toyota Platinum extended warranty at 70k. Currently at 96k and drives great.

Rear reclining right seat makes some squeaking noise. Still have to take it in for that.

What was wrong with your steering column?

Steering column/steering shaft, not sure correct term. The joint between upper and lower shaft was worn down and made steering very loose. They don’t sell just the joint, so they replaced the whole deal, and steering is now great

At 10k had diff leak- faulty gasket (replaced under warranty)
At 15k leaky rear shock driver side (replaced under warranty)
I’m just over 15k now.

2016 Trail Premium


Automatic Differential Disconnect replaced twice. Once at one year into ownership and once at two years. The part has been replaced by a revised version so hopefully no future issues.

2011 Trail 103k, nothing...kind of

I had a couple of TSB's that I brought to their attention, headlight haze/fogging and rear end clunk/thump issue. Both fixed free of charge under the TSB.

Looking forward to another 103k+
