What is the rear end thump issue? I think my 16 has that, feels like the slip yoke is binding.
Replaced under warranty, what have you had repaired/replaced?

It was a bizarre issue, only happened 1 out of 25 times I stopped. But it literally felt like the guy behind you rear ended you. A very solid thump and the whole truck would rock. Almost like the springs had wound up and then let the hammer loose and bam.
Here's the TSB, according to the service manager they had to replace the the rear drive shaft and the whole drive line. Something about the splines not machined tight enough? ALL I know is it stopped after they fixed it.

2018 4Runner with 15,000 miles. Driving to Memphis last month the truck suddenly lost power and would not get above 50 mph even with the pedal on the floor. Got off the interstate and called roadside assistance to get towed to Wolfchase Toyota in Germantown. It took them a couple of hours to determine that the air injector valves had failed due to water in them. Parts were ordered out of Cincinnati for overnight delivery and I was given a new vehicle to drive. Found a room at a motel and settled in for a quiet night. The next morning they called me and said the truck was ready to go. They replaced all of the air injectors and the air pump and covered the tow and the loaner vehicle all under the warranty. Seems this was a problem with older 4Runners but they had not seen in in one so new - 15,000 miles and 6 months old.

I see several door lock actuators failing...is there a TSB or something covering these as it seems to be a high failure item.

2014 2WD 4R - 80K - nothing replaced.
My 2015 Tacoma 2WD PreRunner at 25K had similar work done reported on page 1 of this thread by member BaddaBing. The dealer kept trying to blow me off. A phone call to Toyota Customer Care resolved that.

2017 TRD OR with 49k miles. So far nothing replaced through warranty.
Things I need to look into...
1. Headlights both fog
2. Squeaking noise while driving under 5 mph. Seems to happen when its wet/raining outside.
3. Might need to look into that TSB for the rear clunk.
Not much else. Just little annoying stuff that hasn't been worth taking in to deal with the dealership. I have the 100k warranty so I have 51k left to take it in.

My wife’s 16 TRD Pro developed a crack in the rear spoiler by the third brake light. I had two dealers deny coverage. I don’t believe the first dealer took the time to bother to even look at it. I contacted corporate and the second dealer referred it to the regional Toyota field rep who denied it.
Other than that, 30k miles of crawling malls and no issues.

2016 Trail Premium. I had the passenger air bag replaced. Oh wait, right, they haven't bothered doing it yet. They say they'll do it, maybe, eventually, if they feel like it and it isn't too much bother for them. Maybe they'll do it before I trade it in in 3 or 4 years.

I have a 2014 Trail, 33k miles and no issues yet.
2016 SR5 premium. Changed out two driver side fog lights do to moisture, issue was not solved. Changed out to the morimoto XB fog lights to save myself the time and headaches, dealer installed the for free.Also had the passenger side seat header switch changed out because it stopped working.
