Replacement Cross Terrains for stock ones

As anyone actually had to buy their second set of Cross Terrains for their 4th gen in the same 265-65/17 size? The reason I ask is becuase the one's that come on our 4Runners the sidewall/shoulder is completely different than the X-Terrain shown on Michelin or Tirerack's site. I don't need replacements right now but I would like to make sure I can get matching replacements when the times comes incase I ever needed to use the spare.

Just curious if anyone has had to deal with this yet?

I had posted something on this issue a while back, maybe last year or so. I noticed it too and actually liked the design of the ones on the 4Runners better than the ones on Michelin's website.

The answer I finally got was this - Michelin, for whatever reason, specially manufactures that design of the X-Terrain to come stock on some vehicles - 4Runners, GX470, Envoy.

No matter, I have the Fortera Silent Armors now and like them better.

Ya, I remember seeing your post a while back. I'm a big Michelin fan so I do want to stay with the X-Terrain's. What's weird is if you pull up the X-Terrain on Discount Tire's website it shows the same tire that we have, not the sidewall reflected on Michelin's website. A friend of ours also bought a new Navigator that came with X-Terrain's and they're the same as those on the 4Runner as well.

I guess we'll see when the time comes.
