Replacement engine sources?

I have been looking for a good source to get a replacement engine from.

I am looking for somehting to replace my '90's 3.0 V6 (3VZE?) The one I have now is still good, but starting to smoke just a little from time to time. With 220k hard miles and previous owners who did not take care of it, I am thinking next year sometime.

Local shops are not an option. I am about to give up on getting the valves adjusted locally, not to mention the timing belt. I would not trust any local shop I know of to rebuild anything.

South Cali sources would be good...we go to the LA area once a year, and I would not have a problem getting the swap done while there.

I want a bit more power...(I would LOVE a 3.4l swap, but don't have that kind of cash!)

Yeah, I think so. I don't have the fundage to go for the 3.4 swap and I hate the idea of putting a V8 into the rig (not that it would be any cheaper either!)

Unless someone tosses me a really cool idea that I didn't think of.
