replacing a rusty bumper :(

A few years DH backed into something and just tapped the bumper, and years later it has now rusted through. We're selling it this year, and we really need to replace the bumper.

The parts through toyota are about $250-300 each (we need one back and one side) and when I called the wreckers nobody was able to find one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or are we stuck ordering from toyota?

The vehicle is a 2000 4runner SR5.

eBay usually has a lot of aftermarket ones and they aren't as expensive. Anything 96'-02' will fit.

I looked at ebay but didn't see any parts from canada (we're in BC). Normally it wouldn't be an issue but we need it sold asap and I've had to wait for stuff to clear customs for up to 6 weeks in the past. I may have found one on craigslist but it's "rechromed"? and we have to take a ferry $80 each way to get it, so it may not be worth it.

If only he had let me order that bumper I found 2 years ago when it started bugging me!

As an alternative, are there any non-toyota ones that might work? Anything would probably look better than the sad looking rusty bumper.
