Replacing chrome grille shell with painted one...

I am going to order one tomorrow, they are only 155 bucks at the dealership, painted to match.

Anyone else change out their grille for a color keyed unit?

I'll be selling my chrome grille soon as well. And will post before/after pics.

In a week or two I will replace the chrome trim on the rear hatch for a colored piece too. Shame is that it's more expensive than the damn grille, at 168 dollars lol. Oh well, the price we pay for our toys lol.

Wow did not know that, I've searched everywhere for 06 grilles and parts and could not find anything. I really, really, really want some Street Scene Speed Grille Inserts for the 4Runner but they dont make them for the 06's, and they wont even email me back when I ask about availability.

I'll check out partznet though, thanks for the tip!!! :beer:

Do you have the link on where you saw them for $78? Looked using the sponsor ad and came up with $135

That's odd, I looked using the sponsor ad too, and it doesnt even show a grille available. I can pull up other parts from the list, but the grilles are not available according to the site, it just shows nothing but the help bubble. When I click on other parts like the hood itself, it shows a list of part numbers and prices etc where the help bubble was. :help:

Nevermind I found them, they are not listed under the color links, but under "Sport Limited". And are $135.

I did this mod and it was the best thing I EVER did for the look of the truck .

Comes painted to match , cheap mod , looks way better than chrome IMO !
