Replacing clutch

Hi,
I have a 1995 4runner Gs with a kzo engine. I fitted a replacement clutch only to find it will not engage any gears. I bled the clutch and took the gearbox back out to ensure the clutch plate was in the right way round, it was in correct. Has anyone got some advice. Please

Have someone push the clutch in and make sure the slave cylinder is pushing on the clutch fork.

Also how much free play is there in the pedal when it is all the way out.

Hi Nate,
The clutch fork moves when the peddle is pushed down. Unable to cheek the freeplay as the gearbox is out now.

Are you sure you have the fork and TO bearing installed correctly?
I'v seen the installed backwards before.

Hi,
The TO bearing is in right and has free movement on the shaft. I have spoken to the guy who supplied the clutch and he now tells me it was not an exact match but thought it would work, obviously it doesn't so I will buy a new one and start again.

Get a marlin crawler clutch. It will fit and last.
